As I contemplated today the start of a new season, I thought a little about, the end of the last.
We always give away our rose quartz crystals to children or bury them back into the sand as a way of saying thank you, and recognising that much of what we do, comes from the earth and remains with earth long after we are gone.
It may seem a silly exercise, but to me its a deeply personal acknowledgement of the cycles of beginning and endings.
I remember my boss in Greece at a restaurant I worked at, saying to me many years ago..."one day you will miss this", referring to my long hour sweating till 4am in his restaurant metres from the Grecian shoreline.
And so when we bury those crystals it's to acknowlege and make closure with all that went the past season and to start the new season afresh
and so afresh begins now...
